This study aimed to investigate the impact of societal culture on the performance of private construction projects in the State of Kuwait, using Kuwait Municipality as a case study. The descriptive-analytical method was employed for data collection and analysis. The study population consisted of all owners of private construction projects who had submitted complaints to Kuwait Municipality, totaling 105 individuals. A questionnaire was used as the primary data collection tool. The study revealed several key findings: the level of societal culture was high overall, except for the dimensions of knowledge and experience, which were moderate. Project performance was also rated as high. Furthermore, there was a statistically significant effect (at a significance level of α ≤ 0.05) of societal culture dimensions (beliefs and values, ideas and behavior patterns, knowledge, inclinations and attitudes, experiences and expertise) on the performance dimensions of private construction projects (efficiency and effectiveness, work volume and speed, and work quality) at Kuwait Municipality. The study recommended the need to improve the performance of private construction projects in the State of Kuwait and make them more open, exchange of experiences, and receptive to the required change processes

هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر الثقافة المجتمعية على أداء مشاريع البناء الخاص في دولة الكويت (بلدية الكويت انموذجاً)، تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي لغرض جمع البيانات وتحليلها، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع أصحاب مشاريع البناء الخاص والذين قدموا شكاوى لبلدية الكويت والبالغ عددهم (105) مفردة ، واستخدمت الاستبانة كأداة رئيسية لجمع بيانات. توصلت الدراسة الى عدد من النتائج كان من أبرزها: أن مستوى الثقافة المجتمعية كان بدرجة مرتفعة فيما عدا بعدي المعرفة والتجارب والخبرات ، وأن مستوى أداء المشاريع كان بدرجة مرتفعة، كما ويوجد أثر ذو دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى معنوية (0.05 ≤ α) للثقافة المجتمعية بأبعادها (المعتقدات والقيم، والأفكار وأنماط السلوك، والمعرفة، والميول والاتجاهات، والتجارب والخبرات) على أداء مشاريع البناء الخاص بأبعادها (الكفاءة والفاعلية، حجم وسرعة العمل، جودة العمل) في بلدية الكويت في دولة الكويت. وقد أوصت الدراسة بضرورة تحسين أداء المشاريع للبناء الخاص في دولة الكويت وجعلها أكثر انفتاحاً وتبادلاً للخبرات وتقبلاً لعمليات التغيير المطلوبة.

This research examines the impact of corporate social responsibility with its dimension (Environmental, Economic, Philanthropic, and Legal Responsibility) in Organizational Performance by using the balanced scorecard dimension to measure organizational performance (Financial performance, customer’s perspective, internal process and learning and Growth) in unity cement company, 35 questionnaires were collected from on a non-random, purposive sample Which is represented by (Employees, Department Managers). All of them were analyzed using appropriate statistical measures (SPSS), It was found that there is a moderate correlation between the CSR practices and the organizational performance where philanthropic responsibility had been ranked first legal responsibility second environmental responsibility third and economic responsibility is last, However based on the students perspective, unity cement company should be interested in achieving social goals alongside economic goals, focus in developing and using modern technologies to avoid environmental pollution well as prepare more awareness programs for its employees
